Australia Day 2018 Medallions

In January 2018, the founding members of ANZAC Antibes were awarded Australia Day 2018 Medallions and Certificates at the Australian Embassy in Paris. We were nominated by the Australian Peacekeeper & Peacemaker Veterans' Association for "Meritorious Service toward promoting the Spirit of ANZAC Day in Antibes, France".

We humbly accepted our Medallions from His Excellency Mr Angus Mackenzie, Deputy Head of Mission and Australian Ambassador to UNESCO. We received one Silver Medallion - Steve Wright, President - and three Bronze Medallions - Shelley Ward, Mistress of Ceremony - Simon Jackson, Treasurer - Linda Blochet-Rhoades (absent), General Secretary and Public Relations. These awards are added to the Australian Honours and Awards Database and, as such, are an official Australian Award recognising service on behalf of Australia.
